    3. Every word can only be used once in a game.
    4. Run out of time and you lose a life ❤️. Lose them all and you're out.
    5. The last player left wins.

    Ranked matches: 4-letter words, 20 seconds a turn, 2 lives each. Win to raise your rating and climb from Novice to Genius.

    How do you play Letter Swap?

    You get a starting word, like WALK. On your turn, change exactly one letter to make a new word, like TALK. Every word can only be used once. If the timer runs out, you lose a life. The last player with lives left wins.

    How does ranking work?

    Ranked 1v1 matches use a chess-style rating that starts at 1000. Win to climb through Novice, Apprentice, Scholar, Sage and Mastermind, each with 5 levels, up to Genius.
